I am slowly trancing my heritage and am now at the point where I cannot be certain if my great-grandfather
X8, John Brereton who was born 1635 in Yorkshire, England and who married Jane Clairborne in 1658 in the Colony of Virginia may be related to your Brereton Lineage.
I would certainly appreciate any information that you might share. My mother- born Parham, was raised on the border of North Carolina and Virginia in what was Granville County. I became interested in genealogy
when I realized that my paternal and maternal ancestors had lived in the United States prior to the American Revolution. Now I am searching- in earnest- for earlier ancestors in Europe. I am trying to make certain to find documents that are factual as I go about this.
