An e-mail from Jennifer Maher

I have been curious about the Brereton’s because it seems that they have a close connection with my Maher family in Birr/Parsonstown, Ireland.

All of the marriages and baptisms have Breretons as witnesses. I saw this in Faye’s post –

1.2) EDWARD BRERETON of Clonlee and Clash (died1882) married Mary Maher of Birr Edward died many years after his brother. He was buried in 1882 at the Catholic chapel of Longford329 near Kinnitty Co. King’s on the slopes of Slieve Bloom Mountains. He and his wife, Mary Maher of Birr, had issue: 1.2.1) Daniel Brereton of San Francisco, California, U.S.A. (1828-1930) 1.2.2) Edward F. Brereton 1.2.3) Patrick Brereton of Birr, Co. King’s married Mary Madden

This particular Mary Maher is not one that I am yet acquainted with, so I was wondering if anyone has more infor on her? Her family and such?

Breretons appear with my relatives here:
