On Whidbey Island

Triathlon - August 2003

Here are the 3 star Triathlon athletes! We are about ready to start the swim, from here it's the biking.

Doug (far left) and Bruce (with the head popping out) come in from the swim. Getting on the bike ... notice Doug's Cannondale bike.

Bruce arrives at the end of the biking. Doug arrives ... notice the replacement bike!!!!

Bruce comes in at 2 hours 11 minutes. Doug at 2 hours 17 minutes - plus he rode on a flat tire for 1.5 miles, went a half mile out of the way to pickup a new bike (at home), and he still made it!!!
